#GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. This year support The Purple Promise Foundation by making a donation to help in our fight to end melanoma.
Girl Scouts Hornets Nest Council 10th Anniversary Celebration

The Girl Scouts Hornets Nest Council celebrated the 10th anniversary of their Summer Camp located at the Dale Earnhardt Environmental Leadership Campus in Oak Springs. The Purple Promise Foundation board attended the morning hike and lunch provided on by the Girl Scouts and staff. The 700-acre property is located right outside of Statesville, NC.

The 14th Annual Save Your Skin Melanoma Awareness Golf Classic took place at Ballantyne Country Club on June 10th. Save Your Skin benefits the Carolinas Melanoma and Immunotherapy Fund at Levine Cancer Institute. The Purple Promise Foundation to End Melanoma sponsor a hole during the event and provide sunscreen for all participants.

The Purple Promise Foundation to End Melanoma continues the strategic relationship with Levine Cancer Institute and Atrium Health Foundation to support new innovative melanoma research studies through a $62,000 grant. The grant will help to support melanoma research to improve the ways in which the disease can be prevented, detected, diagnosed and treated. We are excited about the progress being made and greatly appreciate the partnership with Levine and Atrium Health.
